A remote electric cartridge ("DEK") is used as part of a contact-remote (firing) electric shock device for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, designed to transmit the high-voltage damaging effect of an electric shock device (ESU) at a distance of up to 4.5 meters.
When pressing the "Start" button on the electroshock device, miniature electrodes connected to the cartridge with a thin wire are fired from the cartridge towards the offender at high speed, at a distance of up to 4.5 meters.
After the electrodes have pierced the target, it is enough to press the same button, sending an electric pulse through the wires.
It is impossible to move away from the electrodes pressed against the body and thus break the electrical circuit - the electrodes cling tightly to the clothes.
Firing electroshock devices differ from contact ones by the presence of a landing socket in the head of the stun gun, for installing the cartridge.
The cartridge is installed in the socket between the combat electrodes of the electroshock device and rotates clockwise until it stops at the electrodes. The cartridge is triggered by the passage of an arc between the electrodes of the stun gun.
The cartridge contains conductive wires and harpoons that are fired at the target object when the taser trigger button is pressed. The maximum distance to the object should not exceed 4-5 meters. It is strictly forbidden to use the device with a distance of less than 1 meter!
The cartridge is disposable and cannot be restored. After the opponent has received an electric shock, it is necessary to remove the cartridge from the stun gun by turning it counterclockwise in the socket and removing it away from the electrodes.
After firing, you can reload the product, or use it as a contact (non-firing) electroshock device.
