The history of the engineering troops began 322 years ago, when, by Decree of Peter the Great, the "School of the Pushkin Order" was founded in January 1701. Since then, the engineering troops have participated in all campaigns and battles. It is difficult to overestimate the importance of engineering troops, and the Russian army owes its victories in many battles to them. The activity of engineering troops in peacetime is no less important.
