Transport services will be given tasers and firearms

Security guards in trains, subways, airports and train stations will be given tasers. In addition, the guards at the facilities with the highest traffic will be armed with firearms. Izvestia writes about this.

The bill was developed by senators and deputies. The Government has already supported this initiative. The bill itself implies amendments to the law "On Transport Security". Currently, the transport services are not given tasers, and the use of firearms is prohibited because of the danger of injuring bystanders. The new rules will allow them to use this type of weapon as PSC officers, police officers and bailiffs.

The bill is aimed at strengthening terrorist security.
