Border guards were allowed to use stun guns and explosives to protect the state border
The corresponding Government decree dated December 16 was published on the official portal of normative and legal acts.
Special equipment will be at the disposal of border guards during the performance of their official duties in protecting the state border and will be used in accordance with the Federal Law "On the Federal Security Service".
In addition to the traditional border patrol using service dogs, the arsenal of border guards will include handcuffs, rubber sticks, tear gas, stun grenades, stun guns, special means containing explosives.
At the same time, it is emphasized that the right to use the arsenal of special equipment will be legitimate only after the appropriate order of the commanders and heads of border guards.
For violation of these rules by representatives of the FSB Border Guard Service, liability is provided in accordance with the norms of current legislation.
