National guardsmen were allowed to use water cannons and stun guns
The Cabinet of Ministers has updated the list of special equipment that is allowed to be used by National Guard servicemen.
The government approved the rules of application and the list of special means on December 20, during a meeting, DS reports with reference to Ukrainian News.
Thus, they are allowed to use rubber and plastic batons, stun guns, handcuffs (binding nets), service dogs and horses, acoustic means, grenades and stun and smoke ammunition, as well as devices for shooting rubber bullets.
In addition, the National Guard is allowed to use water cannons and armored vehicles (without regular weapons). At the same time, their use is prohibited if the air temperature is below 10 degrees.
Before using special equipment, the National Guard military is obliged to warn violators about this at least twice through a loudspeaker.
Also, after the use of special means, the National guardsmen are obliged to provide medical assistance to the victims as soon as possible.
It is prohibited to use special means in educational institutions, hospitals, and diplomatic missions (without written consent).
It is also forbidden to use handcuffs for more than two hours, to beat with batons on the head, neck, collarbone, genitals and abdomen, it is forbidden to use light-noise devices at a distance closer than 2 m.
